Crochet Calling 2024: A month long flash sale and freebie event
Welcome to Crochet Calling 2024!
For the third year running, I have decided to dedicate August to another crochet flash sale and find the freebies treasure hunt style event.
I’ve loved running this event the past two years so I’m looking forward to another month of crochet goodness!
What’s is Crochet Calling?
Crochet calling is a month long flash sale with a fun treasure hunt style twist.
Below is an overview of what’s included (I’ll go into more detail after the summary);
- 50% off a different crochet pattern each day for the first 30 days of August 2024: The sale on each pattern lasts for one day only – no code needed, only for patterns purchased on Etsy or Ravelry
- Mystery Freebies – there are 4 mystery freebie codes dotted throughout the pages of the sale items which will be available to download from Ravelry for free (using the code) for 24 hours – the same day as the item is on flash sale
- Find the clues – there are 7 clues hidden on the pattern pages of the sale items, collect the letters in each clue to get a download code for a 3-pattern mystery bundle which can be downloaded from Ravelry on the last day of the month
- Email reminders so you don’t miss a bargain – sign up here to get an email notification each day linking to that days offer, don’t miss a thing (this page will be updated daily with that day’s offer)
50% off Flash Sale
I have chosen 30 patterns from my crochet pattern library and will be offering at 50% off each one for 24 hours only (UK time – that’s BST) over consecutive days in August 24.
You will be able to purchase the pattern at 50% off from Ravelry or Etsy on the day it’s on offer.
Simply select purchase from Ravelry / Etsy on the pattern page to be taken to the listing. You do not need to enter a code, the discount will be added at checkout.
(If using Etsy, please remember that patterns cannot be downloaded from the app – they can only be accessed via a web browser, so if you have any issues, please do check you haven’t been redirected to the app without you realising!)
I will list the flash sale offers at the end of this page and update it daily.
If you are not seeing updates, you may wish to delete your browser cookies. Alternatively you can sign up to the crochet calling daily notifications and you will receive a link each day which will take you directly to the pattern page of that day’s offer. This way you won’t miss anything!
Once the 24 hour period is up (from midnight to midnight BST – UK time) the offer will be gone and the next one will begin.
If you’ve had your eye on one of my patterns for a while, then keep an eye out as it may be one of the ones featured in the sale!
I have loosely themed the weeks to include patterns in groups such as hats shawls and scarves, wearables, homewears, christmas patterns, and clothing, so know that there will be something for everyone!!
Mystery Freebies
I have hidden discount codes for mystery freebies on 4 of the pattern pages of the patterns included in the sale.
That’s 4 freebies you can grab throughout the month.
Each code appears in a clickable graphic which looks like the one below. Clicking the image will take you to the pattern page of the freebie. You can then follow the link to the Ravelry listing and use the code to download the pattern for free on the date stated in the image (UK time)
The text on the image will have the X replaced by the date that the offer is available and the code needed to enter at the Ravelry checkout to grab your freebie. It will be valid on the date shown only in UK time (BST).
The code is spelled out in the alt text so if you use a screen reader you should be able to access it too. I will also add a link in the captions below the banner which will also take you to the pattern page.
Find the clues
I have also hidden 7 ‘clues’ on the pattern pages of the designs included in the flash sale.
Each clue includes 2 or more letters.
Collect the letters over the month and put them together (in the order they appeared) to create a discount code which will get you the mystery bundle. Each clue is numbered so you will know if you have missed any.
The image below will show you what the clues look like. The XX will be replaced with two or more letters from the code.

The bundle includes 3 pdf crochet patterns (which I’ll keep a secret), and will be available to download for free on 31st August, using this special code.
Like all the other offers, the code will be valid from midnight to midnight UK time (BST)
I don’t know about you, but I love a treasure hunt and I love crochet so this works for me – it has been super popular the last couple of years and is a great zero cost way to bag yourself some free pdf crochet patterns!
