Materials

Crochet hook

The pattern uses a 5mm crochet hook, or size needed to obtain gauge. This is larger than the typical size worked with 4ply / fingering weight yarn. The pattern uses linked crochet stitches which create much better drape when worked with a larger hook.

I used a Clover Amour Crochet Hook for this project – one of my favourites – learn more about different crochet hooks here.

Yarn

Depending on the size you choose, you will need; 1360 (1450, 1780, 1870, 1970)(2340, 2420, 2780, 2900)m 4ply / fingering weight yarn.

The item pictured uses Fyberspates Scrumptious 4-ply/fingering (55% Merino wool, 45% silk; 365m / 399yd per 100g) in shade 306 Baby Pink- 4(5, 5, 5, 6, 7)(7, 8, 9, 9) balls / hanks.

Substitution Options

A similar 4ply or fingering weight yarn will create a similar result. Different fibres and yarns will produce a different finished result.
