Crochet Calling: A month long flash sale and crochet freebies event

Welcome to Crochet Calling!

After the success of last year’s Autumn is coming event, I have decided to dedicate August 2023 to another flash sale and find the freebies treasure hunt style event.

I’ve kept the parts you loved, made a few tweaks and added some extras along the way.

What’s is Crochet Calling?

Crochet calling is a month long flash sale with a fun treasure hunt style twist.

Below is an overview of what’s included (I’ll go into more detail after the summary);

50% off a different crochet pattern each day for the first 30 days of August 2023, sale on each pattern lasts for one day only – no code needed, only for patterns purchased on Etsy or Ravelry
Mystery Freebies – there are 4 mystery freebies dotted throughout the pages of the sale items which will be available to download from Ravelry for free (using the code) for 24 hours
Find the clues – there are 7 clues hidden on the pattern pages of the sale items, collect the letters in each clue to get a download code for a 3-pattern mystery bundle which can be downloaded from Ravelry on the last day of the month
Special Discount – I’ve hidden a special discount code on one of the pattern pages from the flash sale which will give you 30% off my forthcoming pattern release ‘Short Stories’ on it’s release day, September 1st, just to end the event with a bang!
Email reminders – sign up here to get an email notification each day linking to that days offer, don’t miss a thing (this page will be updated daily with that day’s offer)

50% off Flash Sale

I have chosen 30 patterns from my catalogue which I will be offering at 50% off for 24 hours only.

The patterns included in the flash sale are premium patterns which are only available as paid PDFs. (i.e. you can’t already get them free on the blog!

You will be able to purchase the pattern on Ravelry or Etsy on the day it’s on offer. Simply select purchase from Ravelry / Etsy on the pattern page to be taken to the listing. You do not need to enter a code, the discount will be added at checkout.

Note that there are a couple of ebooks included in the sale. These can only be purchased from Etsy.

I will list the daily offers on this page and updated it daily. If you are not seeing updates, you may wish to delete your browser cookies. Alternatively you can sign up to the crochet calling daily notifications and you will receive a link each day to the pattern page of that day’s offer. This way you won’t miss anything!

Get daily reminders

Once the 24 hour period is up (from midnight to midnight BST – UK time) the offer will be gone and the next one will begin.

Mystery Freebies

I have hidden banners for mystery freebies 4 of the pattern pages of the patterns in the sale. That’s 4 freebies you can grab throughout the month.

Each banner has a download code to download the code from ravelry for free. The code will be valid for 24 hours.

To give you an idea of what you’re looking for, the banner will look something like this

It will include the date that the code is valid for and the download code. If you click the image it will take you directly to the pattern page. Click the link to purchase the pattern from Ravelry, add the item to your cart and enter the discount code to grab it for free!

The code is spelled out in the alt text so if you use a screen reader you should be able to access it too. I will also add a text link below the banner which will also take you to the pattern page.

Find the clues

I have also hidden 7 clues thought out the sale pattern pages which look similar to the mystery freebies banners.

Each clue includes 2 or more letters. Collect the letters over the month and put them together (in the order they appeared) to create a discount code which will get you the mystery bundle.

The bundle includes 3 pdf patterns and will be available to download for free on 31st August, using this special code.

I don’t know about you, but I love a treasure hunt and I love crochet so this works for me – it was super popular last year!

Special Discount

I have also hidden a special one off discount code on one of the pages which will offer you 30% off my upcoming pattern release.

The ‘Short Stories’ Cardigan will be released on September 1st.

This code will entitle you to 30% off on launch day only when you purchase the pattern from Etsy or Ravelry.

This is a lovely versatile cardigan pattern, suitable for intermediate crocheters. I shall be sharing more details closer to the time, but this pattern uses some great techniques to create lovely fitted shoulders.

It’s a classic layering piece and a bit of a special design. It will come in 9 sizes from XS-5XL.
