Cheeky Rainbows Crochet Pattern – Kids top down raglan v-neck chevron sweater
Inspired by the Adult’s Rainbow Smiles Sweater, Cheeky Rainbows is a child’s version of the top down raglan pullover. With a gentle v-neck and rainbow chevron, this is a close fitting pullover aimed at bringing a splash of colour and a smile to the wearer!

Skill Level
You will need to know how to work basic crochet stitches, basic increases and decreases, work in the round and count! Using place markers can also be useful in this pattern.
The pattern calls for use of foundation chains (which you can learn how to work here), but modifications are given if you prefer to work into a starting chain.

Materials
Hook: 4mm (US G/6)
Yarn:400-850m of 4ply / fingering yarn in total (approx 110-300g depending on fibre) .
Details of the yarn pictured are given in the pattern.
For the coloured yarn: You will need less approximately 5-10-20g / 30- 50m of each colour depending on size selected.
Yarn Substitution Options: Any lightweight / 4 ply / sport or sock weight yarn which meets gauge can be used for this sweater. I would recommend wool / alpaca, acrylic or blend yarns.

You will also need: 5 Place Markers or scraps of yarn for corners, pins and a blocking board

The sweater is written in US terms in 6 sizes from 2 – 12years (chest 52-77cm)
Kids ages sizes vary hugely but, because the pattern uses the top down method, you can easily adjust the fit as you go. To help with this, the pattern also includes an exclusive attachment explaining how to make adjustments to various aspects of fit, so you can get it right for your cheeky rainbow!
