I love simplicity and stripes. My favourite top in the world is a really old white jersey with black stripes. I was wearing it recently and suddenly wondered why I had never tried to recreate it in crochet. So that’s exactly what I did!
Life is better when you keep it simple!

Inspired by the cult TV show Twin Peaks, The Red Pillow brings a little of that imagery into your home.
Even if you’ve never seen the show, who can resist this striking colour combinations and geometry!

500 yds red acrylic dk yarn, 150 yds black acrylic dk yarn and 150 yds white acrylic dk yarn.
Any acrylic dk yarn can be used, the pattern in the picture used Stylecraft Special DK in Lipstick (1.5 skeins), Black (less than half a skein) and White (less than half a skein).
The pattern is for a 46cm (18in) square pillow pad but can be adjusted to fit any size cushion.
The gauge for each piece is detailed in the pattern to assist with resizing.
I love all things slightly off the wall and a little to the left of mainstream I’m so inspired by people who colour outside the lines which is definitely what the creators of Twin Peaks did, both in the 90s and today! It was they who inspired this geometric colour popping crochet cushion cover.
