I’ve very excited about this week’s Free Festive Friday pattern as things are a little bit special! Week one gave you the Christmas Pudding Hat and last week I shared the Twinkle Twinkle Star Decoration. Well now I’ve teamed up with Marie Segares, aka the Underground Crafter to release this week’s free pattern as a contributor post on her blog.
Marie is a crochet and knit designer, blogger, podcaster and business woman who has helped me enormously on my journey, principally via her Creative Yarn Entrepreneur podcast series. If you’re in the yarn or fibre arts business I cannot recommend them enough! So when I got the opportunity to contribute to the Underground Crafter blog, I couldn’t wait!
You can view the blog post and find the pattern here and I’ll tell you a little about these guys.
2017 has been the (unofficial) year of the unicorn so I figured what better way to finish it than with a winter themed Uni (I still think of the Dungeons and Dragons cartoon when I say the word Uni… but perhaps that’s me showing my age!).
A few years ago I designed a little Snowman amigurumi, and this year I gave it a little spruce up, threw in a bit of cross breeding and I proudly introduce the Season of the Snowicorn!
These little guys are so cheery and characterful. They are only here for a short time so they like to have fun, pretend they are in a band and post their selfies to social media to spread the message of joy and happiness and living life in the moment!
I don’t know about elf on a shelf but I’m all for a Snowicorn on a Social!!
I hope you have fun making these little dudes. You can find the pattern here
They are great for gifts or to decorate your own home or festive table.
As always, please do tag me on any of my Socials with your finished projects or use the #HookMeHappy tag on Instagram where you can find me as @doraexplored
